ASP needed a symbolic design for The National Virginity Pledge, a collection of short stories about alcohol, gambling, and chasing women. The book's cover needed to capture those themes without being dark or grungy.
The intersection between the book's elements resulted in a design that merged a seductive female figure with playing card suits. The design reinforces the book's themes while also introducing the concept that life itself is a gamble.
